Hi, I’m Claire Adams, and I’ve been working with numbers for as long as I can remember. Before setting up Papertrail Bookkeeping, I was managing budgets of up to £14 million for a major investment group — keeping spending on track and making sure everything added up.

I’ve also led teams and managed projects, all within the finance world. But my real passion? Helping small businesses stay on top of their accounts without all the faff.

I’ve been supporting sole traders and limited companies since 1997, so there’s not much I haven’t seen. With years of experience under my belt, I decided to go it alone and launch Papertrail Bookkeeping — a service built around keeping things simple, stress-free, and straightforward.

No need for perfect spreadsheets or piles of paperwork — if you’ve got a bag of receipts, that’s good enough for me! I’ll sort through it all using trusted software like Xero or QuickBooks so your accounts are accurate, organised, and ready when you need them.

You can use me as much or as little as you like — I can work with you every day, once a month, or just every quarter. Whatever suits your setup.
